Industry Veteran, Tom Capper, Adds Deep Analytics Expertise to Challenge Industry Thinking.
Moz, Inc., the leader in search engine optimization technology, today announced Tom Capper has joined the company to lead the Search Science team. Based in the UK, Capper comes to Moz after leading the SEO practice at Distilled, now Brainlabs.
“Tom has proven his mastery of search science through research that has had a meaningful impact on the SEO community for years. We are excited to welcome him to Moz,” said Sarah Bird, CEO of Moz.
“As a long-standing member of the Moz community, Tom is already closely connected to the needs of our customers; we are eager for him to bring his unique understanding of the industry to the Search Science team that contributes to our ongoing product innovation and thought leadership.”
Capper is a familiar face to the SEO industry and Moz audience, having written multiple blogs on analytics, hosted two Whiteboard Friday videos and presented as a MozCon Speaker.
A thought-leader with a penchant for challenging industry norms and developing unique SEO strategies and tactics, Capper will design new research to help Moz solve complex and technical issues for SEO professionals at every stage in their career.
“For as long as I’ve worked in SEO, Moz has been one of the most authoritative and trusted brands in the space, and a generous center of excellence for anyone looking to level up their own understanding,” said Capper.
“I’m excited (and extremely flattered) to have the opportunity to continue that tradition, to build on Moz’s ubiquitous metrics like Domain Authority, Page Authority, and Spam Score, and to shape products like Moz Pro and STAT for the next generation of SEO challenges.”
This announcement comes on the heels of a new Technical SEO certification, as well as the new board hires of Asia Orangio and Tara Reed.
